Some people take to cycling more quickly than others, but it takes time for anyone to be the best we want to be. If you want to be a strong cyclist, you need to work at it and those that are successful will put years into the process. Don't be put off so much is about the journey rather than the destination.

Trust the process
In order to be successful you will need to feel like a beginner who has no idea what you are doing and accept that you have a lot to learn. Along your journey you might come back to this feeling over and over again as you take up more challenges.
You will need to fail at something time over, but you won't see it as a failure but as a learning process.
You won't get PB's every time, it may take years of hard grind to notice the difference.
Some days you will feel less motivated than others.
Somedays you will be slower than ever, but train smart and you will get faster.
Somedays you may want to give up.
Somedays you will feel amazing.
Keep working at it and year after year you will never regret the time you put into you and your bike!
Don't give up and trust the process and remember regardless of natural talent, the ones that are the strongest have been training the longest! So much is in the head and down to being disciplined.
